Bore design improves intonation of the long tube notes, lowering their sharp tendencies in the middle register.

Some recent clarinet designs have lowered middle register to a point which is a bit too flat. For these clarinets, our optional intonational vent hole raises the pitch of the middle register notes to their optimum position.
